Save the Arts District on Santa Fe
We're nomads right now. Our current fundraising goals include a capital
campaign to purchase a building in the Arts District on Santa Fe to
house the Center & Museum.
We have a big vision for Colorado Women Visual Artists that includes
purchasing a home for the Center & Museum in the heart of the Arts
District on Santa Fe, that will also help protect and ensure the
continuation of Denver Colorado's oldest Certified Arts District.

Let's
see if we've got what you're looking for.
The Colorado Women's Art Center & Museum doesn't have a physical location yet.
We have our eye on a building at 9th and Santa Fe Dr. in the heart of the Arts District on Santa Fe.
This arts district has been active for more than 40 years and was this starting point of the popular First Fridays Art Walk.
It is also the first Colorado Certified Art District. There are significant benefits to purchasing the building.
# 1. The first of course, is to highlight and elevate the artwork and accomplishments of Colorado Women Artists.
# 2. The second is having a physical location for the Center & Museum in the Arts District on Santa Fe.
#
3. The third is to keep rents lower than a for profit landlord
needs, partly through reductions in property tax for a non-profit
owner, that will allow the current galleries to remain in the
building.
# 4. The fourth is to preserve the building as a gallery and central hub in the Arts District on Santa Fe.
# 5. The fifth is to help sustain the arts as a significant highlight in Denver for residents and visitors.
Please help us and make this opportunity a reality!
